This afternoon there was a Lunar Eclipse and a Full Moon. This full moon is in Cancer – the sign of all the feels and all the care. I had planned to write this post a while ago, and then I ended up taking care instead. I took care making healthy meals for myself, seeing to the things I’ve been too distracted to get to, I spent one afternoon making soup for a friend who has been very sick, and I’ve been sleeping. A lot. Everyone around me seems to be getting sick, like severely sick, and I want no part of that. My body says sleep, you bet I’m gonna listen.
Full moon in cancer wants us to take care. In the closing out of 2019 and moving into 2020, it has been a time to reflect and reassess what we’re doing. Looking at the things and people in our lives, how we spend our time and energy – and it’s full moon, so we take action on releasing the things in our lives that are no longer adding value. What drains your energy instead of fueling it? What creeps in and takes up all of your time, leaving less for what’s important to you?
This is a big time to be sure you’re doing this. Why? Because we need to make space. We need to make space, reorganize, reinvest our time and energy, prioritize our lives and our purpose. We need to be ready to make changes. BIG changes.

Uranus also went direct this evening – this gives us a boost of energy and lights a fire for us to take action on all the assessing we’ve been doing.
Jupiter entered Capricorn in December, bringing expansion to the earthy sign. Buddying up with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, Jupiter brings expansion in the form of growth – growth happens through challenge. Through gaining wisdom with experience. This growth will be related to our structures, our foundations, the how we routinely invest our time and energy.
Sunday brings a conjunction with Saturn and Pluto – which, I believe, is a pretty big deal. I suggest you read the information put out there by several (real) astrologers to get more specifics, but here’s my understanding. Saturn conjunct Pluto with Jupiter in close proximity is big magic energy to look into the future and make some plans. Set the stones for your new foundation, get some blueprints together for your new structure, and go big or go home.
One thing Saturn wants us to remember is this: we ask The Universe to help us out, we ask for abundance and we ask for strength and courage – and we often receive what we asked for, even if it doesn’t look how we expected. But that’s not what Saturn is about. Saturn wants to know what you will do differently to take full advantage of these gifts? What have you done to change things? What have you done to change the foundations of your life? If you win the lottery, but don’t change your spending habits or your relationship with money – you’re going to end up just as broke as you were before you bought the ticket. That’s not the fault of The Universe or Saturn – that’s all you, Boo.
You give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Saturn wants to know – after you got that first fish, what have you done to learn how to fish so you can eat for your lifetime?
THAT is the kind of foundation rocking, called to the carpet, come-to-Jesus moment we are looking at here.
Pluto is standing here with a rocket launcher and a really creepy gleam in his eye ready to flatten everything.
Saturn is the tough-love coach in your corner, his hands on your shoulders, looking you straight in the eye going (in the voice of Sam Elliot, no less)… you ready? Cus you gotta pick this shit up. You gotta know what worked and what didn’t before, and you gotta be ready to build it better. Make it yours.
And then Jupiter’s got the contractor on the phone yelling, you wanted to upgrade, right?!
